PARK SNOW Donovaly
PARK SNOW Donovaly is one of the most famous ski resorts in Slovakia. The village of Donovaly is located at the intersection of the National Parks Low Tatras and Veľká Fatra, from Banska Bystrica is 25 km away, from Ružomberok 29 km.
The total length of the slopes in the resort is 11 km. The pistes are centered on two grounds - Záhradište and Nová Hoľa , which combine three short lifts.
The garden is suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. There is a 4-chair lift (600 m long, 117 m elevation) and 12 ski lifts. In the 2014/15 season, this 4-seater is in daily traffic from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, so skiers can go from daily to evening skiing with flexible time skipasses.
The new hole together with Patocina offers red and black slopes for intermediate and advanced skiers. Transport is provided by an express combined 6-seater with 8-seater cabins (length 1312 m, elevation 444 m) and one ski lift. The offer is complemented by the Mishuta ski lift with a blue piste near the parking lot.
Several rental, ski and snowboard schools operate on Donovaly. Unique attractions that the resort is famous for are horseback rides and snowparagliding. At the lower station of the funicular you will find a ski slope.
Snowpark
Riders Park Záhradište is, according to several independent evaluations, the best snowpark in Slovakia. There is a Slovak representation in slopestyle snowboarding and acrobatic skiing.
