Liptov museum
Expositions of geology, paleontology, botany and zoology give you a wealth of information on the rocks and minerals found on Liptov, as well as on the plants and trees typical of this area. Visitors can see the animals that inhabit the streams, meadows and forests of our Liptov. You can even find dressed animals such as wolves, bears, savages, and others with whom you will not get anywhere in your ordinary life.
Slovak Museum of Nature Conservation and Caves
The Slovak Museum of Nature Conservation and Caves in Liptovsky Mikulas offers you a unique experience and a different view of the beauty of Slovakia. The museum is housed in a historic building and in 2015 it has undergone a complete reconstruction. This makes this museum more attractive and interesting not only for children but also for older visitors. The museum is divided into several expositions that drag you into the depths of your secrets.
Underground under tower – Mincovníčkovo
In this exposition you can look into the depths of the coinage, which invites you to the secrets of this beautiful but also very demanding craft. You will find here a wealth of information on the mining, processing and processing of some noble metals. You will even see the production of a unique coin that one of you will own. About who will decide at the end of your entry in the so-called auction.

VAŽEC VILLAGE MUSEUM

The village museum in Važec was opened in July 1994. In addition to the history of a vibrant village with rich folklore traditions, it is also dedicated to the personalities of cultural history, whose life and creation were associated with Važec village. We find here documents about the life and work of Jan Halon, the painter and writer, the folk song collector and writer Štefan Rysuľ, the poets of Jan Silan and Michal Lúčanský, essayist Michal Bartík, the folk songwriter and folk poet Janka Ilavsky - Podkrivánskeho, dramatist Štefan Králik. The exhibition is completed by personal items and a work desk by Štefan Rysuľ, photographs of Karol Plick and František Havránka, the discoverer of Važecká Cave.
The exhibition is located in the premises of Ján Hál Memorial House.

MEMORIAL HOUSE OF JÁN HÁLO

Memorial house od Ján Hálo in Važec is extended by a permanent exhibition of the PM Bohúňa Gallery in Liptovský Mikuláš. It was open r. 1976 in the house where the artist lived and formed. In addition to the photographic documentation of the life of J. Hálo there are exhibited more than 60 of his paintings, drawings and book illustrations mainly with the theme of Važka, folklore under Tatra and folk customs. Part of the exhibition is a wooded cottage with original furnishings, where Hálo lived after his arrival in Važec. In the basement of the Jan Hálo's house there is the village museum, established by the municipal office of Važec.
